About

The Political Science and International Relations Department at Ibn Haldun University is strongly research-oriented, aspiring to pass on
the relevant theoretical acquisitions and skills to its students, whom it envisages as members of an innovative and collaborative learning community with the potential to develop into future leaders, intellectuals and scholars.

We have an international body of professors and students, who subscribe to a genuinely non-Eurocentric, international and intercultural
pedagogy that respects and embraces the legacies of multiple civilizations. We shall be examining local, regional and global issues in an integrated and holistic way. The comparative approach adopted by our curriculum is designed to tackle contemporary problems facing Turkey and its neighboring regions in a more comprehensible manner. We incorporate courses from all major subfields of political science: International Relations, Political Thought, Comparative Politics, and Turkish Politics. We also encourage and support our students to learn foreign languages and acquire international field experience. Our Political Science and International Relations graduates are likely to be in high demand in academia, public administration, think tanks, the media sector, and domestic or international companies as well as international organizations.
